Producer Information

Azienda Agricola Collemattoni is a Tuscan wine producer based in Montalcino, owned and run by the Bucci family. The estate is best known for its Brunello di Montalcino. Azienda Agricola Collemattoni makes two expressions of Brunello from Sangiovese Grosso. The "normale" is aged in 3200-liter (845 US gallon) Slavonian oak casks for 30 months. The Riserva Vigna Fontelontano is sourced from a single vineyard which was planted in 1984. The wine is aged in 500-liter French oak barrels for 36 months and then spends an additional 18 months aging in the bottle. The Rosso di Montalcino sees 12 months in large casks. The Adone Toscana IGT is a blend of Sangiovese and a little Merlot. A rosato is made in stainless steel, also from Sangiovese.
