Deep ruby red with deep violet tints indicating richness. Expressive, ripe bouquet displaying all the finesse and elegance typical of the Margaux terroir. Complexity on the nose, with overripe, jammy red fruit aromas, vanilla and spice. Swirling brings out more oaky, toasty notes denoting traditional ageing in oak barrels and which blend harmoniously with the fruity aromas.

Maison Sichel is a long standing Bordeaux-based négociant, vineyard and château owner. As well its wine merchant operations, Sichel oversees 200 hectares (500 acres) of vineyard and a number of local estates, including the well-regarded Château d'Angludet and a holding in the stellar Third Growth, Château Palmer, both in Margaux. With its origins in England, the Sichel family established itself as wine merchants in both Germany and Bordeaux in the second half of the 19th Century. Trade across Europe and into North America followed. By 1938, the Sichels were able to acquire Château Palmer (along with three other families) as well as maintaining their merchant business. In 1961, the Sichel family purchased Château d'Angludet. Six years later, Sichel became the first Bordeaux merchant to establish its own winemaking facilities for grower-purchased fruit for its own labels. In 1985, it established the Sirius négoce brand and in the same year began its own in-house bottling operation: Siscoe (Sichel Sud-Ouest Embouteillage, or "Sichel South-West Bottling"). Four years later, the company expanded into Corbières, purchasing Domaine du Révérend and Domaine du Trillol (renamed Château Trillol in 2009 and then Domaine Peter Sichel in 2021). In 2002, the company also acquired Château Salle d'Arche in the Bordeaux Supérieur appellation northeast of Langon – it was renamed Château d'Argadens in 2008 – followed by the nearby Château Daviaud in 2020.
