      Detailed Description

Dark in the glass, this is a powerful Grenache, starting with aromas of baked fruit, caramel and forest herbs, all cut by dark clay and wet slate mineral tones. The palate, bolstered by 8% Syrah, surrounds a ripe boysenberry core, with layers of cocoa, violet and lavender holding attention long into the finish.

      Producer Information

In 2015, the family found a piece of raw land in the Templeton Gap AVA with incredible views of the night sky, which inspired the name Caelesta, Latin for "celestial" or "of the heavens.” The marine influence, Linne-Calodo complex soils, and multitude of planting aspects made it a dream opportunity.
