        Reviews:

        • Kerin O’Keefe: The shy nose eventually reveals toasted oak, mocha and violet. The dense palate offers prune, sage and roasted coffee bean alongside assertive tannins.

          Producer Information

The magic of Terre di Nero D’Avola comes to life in the production of CVA Canicattì, bringing to every wineglass the viticultural tradition of a territory that expresses its full potential in Sicily’s best loved native varieties. The cooperative’s love and strong productive bonds with this land has united 300 winegrowers since 1969 to realise an innovative and modern production project deeply rooted in local history and ready to confront the challenges of the most demanding markets. The wines of CVA Canicattì are the product of 900 hectares of vineyards located in 12 municipalities, between the provinces of Agrigento, Caltanissetta and Palermo. A viticultural landscape made up of over sixty different production areas, each characterized by unique pedoclimatic conditions and an historical and cultural heritage of absolute prestige: from the Valley of the Temples to the ancient sulphur mines, not to mention the undisputed value of Pirandello’s literature.
