        Producer Information

San Antonio Winery is one of the oldest producing wineries in Los Angeles, established in 1917 by Italian immigrant, Santo Cambianica. The winery has vineyards in Paso Robles' El Pomar AVA, as well as in Santa Lucia Highlands, Arroyo Secco and Napa Valley, making a wide range of red, white, sparkling and dessert wines. The flagship wine, under the Riboli Family Wine Estates label, is a Cabernet Sauvignon wine from an estate vineyard in Rutherford. The Los Angeles winery has been a historical landmark since 1965 and remains family-owned after four generations. San Antonio survived Prohibition in the United States by gaining permission to produce altar wines, becoming one of the leading producers of sacramental wines in the region. It still makes a range of sacramental wines today. It is currently run by the third generation of the Riboli family. Along with the Riboli Family Estate wines, there are around 20 brands under the San Antonio umbrella. These include Stella Rosa, San Simeon, Opaque, Kinderwood, Villa Alena, Three Pines, and Maddalena (named after the family's matriarch Maddalena Riboli – niece of founder Santo Cambianica). San Antonio produces a host of value-driven wines from classic varieties including Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc, and Syrah, to name a few. The operation has three locations: the original property and winery in Los Angeles; a wine store and tasting room in Ontario (California), and a winery in Paso Robles, established in 2016.
