Among these is the Belle de Brillet, a superb fruit-based liqueur recognized as one of the top 100 Spirits of 2016 by Wine Enthusiast magazine. Each batch of this liqueur begins with ripe Williams pears harvested from orchards in eastern France which are then macerated in a neutral spirit imparting it with its sweet and crisp essence. This spirit infusion is then blended with their signature cognac and sweeteners before being brought to proof and finally bottled.
Belle de Brillet Pear Liqueur Tasting Notes
Nose: Clear, golden amber in color, each sip of this liqueur greets you with a heady nose of green pine, orchard fruits, and cognac eaux-de-vie.
Palate: This is then complemented by an intense and fragrant palate of ripe pears flesh, pear skins, poached pear, and caramel with cognac undertones.
Finish: A long and complex finish of caramelized pastries.
