Benromach 35 Year Old Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Benromach was mothballed in 1983 and despite being purchased a decade later by Gordon & MacPhail, wasn't up and running again until 1998. This release predates the 18 year gap in production, with nods in smart the packaging to the original dark grained wooden washbacks as well as the stills and lime washed distillery walls.

Benromach 35 Year Old Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky Tasting Notes

Nose: Orange marmalade and sherry with kiwi, grapefruit and cinnamon.

Palate: Sweet with honey, fruitcake, banana and melon, before white chocolate and menthol.

Finish: Long, smooth and fruity.

Distillery Information

Benromach is a Speyside distillery founded by Duncan McCallum and F.W. Brickman in 1898 and currently owned and run by Gordon and Macphail of Elgin. It is situated near Forres in Morayshire and is fed with spring water from the Chapelton Springs in the Romach Hills beside
