We begin with organic California corn, malted barley, and some of Santa Ana’s award-winning water to formulate the base mash for our straight Wheated Bourbon whiskey. After distillation we allow it to age for a minimum of 2 years in New American pre-char toasted then charred white oak casks.

Nose: Great elegance and charm on the nose.

Palate: The palate is very powerful and complex. Smooth texture.

Finish: Finish is very smooth and long.

Distillery Information

Founder Brian Christenson had a bootlegging great-grandfather, named Fred P. Armbrust, who hid a still in the basement of his dairy farm, behind secret passageways. The dream behind Blinking Owl Distillery is to carry on Fred's zealous passion for the craft, and provide “good spirits” to our own community.
