Glentauchers was founded in 1897 and is located in the Speyside region near Keith in the county of Banffshire. It was established by the renowned whisky blender James Buchanan and W. P. Lowrie a well know whisky trader. The distillery is mainly used to produce whisky for blending with only two official bottling's to date.

Established in 1897, Glentauchers was one of the distilleries owned by the hugely successful blender James Buchanan and the design was overseen by the legendary Charles Doig, who contributed so much to the innovation and future success of Scotch whisky.
