Highland 19 Year Old - Chorlton Whisky | 700ML

This single malt Scotch was distilled at a mysterious unnamed Highland distillery and matured for 19 years. It was bottled at cask strength from a Madeira hogshead by Chorlton Whisky, non-chill filtered and naturally coloured, with an outturn of only 265 bottles, each adorned with a picture of what looks like a medieval portrait of two noble people, their dog, and a giant broccoli.

Nose: Delicate and impressive depth on the nose.

Palate: On the palate it is very elegant, rich and full-bodied.

Finish: The finish is quite delicate, opulent and long.

Distillery Information

Chorlton Whisky started with whisky tasting events in and around a part of Manchester U.K called Chorlton. The company founder David was a true whisky fan, his events where always about the enjoyment of whisky above all else, with the vast number of single malts from across Scotland he could have simply carried on with the events, but something clicked that he could possibly do a little more. At first David was thinking about doing the odd exclusive tasting event bottles, again he thought he had to do a little more to stand out. around 2017 the seeds of the business we know today started to grow. David purchased his first cask in 2017, because he was going to grow the business organically it was a steady start rather than rushing things through, this also gave him time to select the right casks for release. Over the coming years more single cask bottlings would be added to the range, each selling quickly to a market looking for something new, and above all else tasty, and interesting of course.
