After more than 11 years of aging, this 2007 vintage benefited from 10 months of finishing in French oak barrels from Château Marquis de Terme.

Nose: The nose, fine and powerful, opens with generous notes of red fruits and Kirsch quickly enhanced by delicate wood and cocoa.

Palate: The mouth of a gourmet roundness, offers an attack where the aromas of black fruits and liquorice mingle.

Finish: Notes of harmonious wood and fine spices in a long finish.

Distillery Information

The Domaine de La Maugée was built in the early 19th century, and renamed Habitation Saint Étienne in 1863. It was Amédée Aubéry who bought the sugar dwelling in 1882, transforming it into an agricultural rum distillery.
