Detailed Description

Johnnie Walker Blue Label sets the standard, a blend of the rarest malts from hand-selected casks across Scotland. Its flavors are influenced by the smoke of the west and the rich, sweet whiskies of the east. Illustrated by Chinese fashion designer Angel Chen, the rabbits prancing confidently among mountainous peaks echo the defiant optimism of “Keep Walking” – a rallying call to face the new year with positivity. 46%abv Johnnie Walker Blue Label is incomparably rich and smoky, with velvety smooth breaking waves of powerful flavor. Created from hand-selected casks of some of the rarest and most exceptional whiskies, there is no sensory experience quite like Johnnie Walker Blue Label.

Johnnie Walker Blue Label Chinese New Year | Limited Edition - Rabbit | 2023 Tasting Notes

Nose: Waves of spice give way to vanilla and honey.

Palate: Abundant spice and dried fruits from Speyside and Highland whiskies are perfectly balanced with vanilla. They release layers of sweet fruits, dark chocolate, toffee and roast nuts.

Finish: Port Ellen gives a coastal smokiness that gathers momentum through the long finish

Distillery Information

In 1857, Alexander Walker — Johnnie Walker’s eldest son — inherited the store and began improving its selection of single malt Scotch whiskies. In addition, Alexander had apprenticed with a tea merchant in Glasgow and there, had learned the art of blending tea. Under his stewardship, the House of Walker began blending whisky and bottling it in an iconic, square bottle adorned with a slanted label.
