Detailed Description

Scottish kings of the Middle Ages would venture forth with their knights into the rugged landscape surrounding the River Spey, rich with wildlife, to hunt with their prized falcons. After a successful day chasing prey, the king would retire to his castle and celebrate with a dram of the amber nectar for which the Speyside region is now known. King's Falcon Single Malt Scotch is inspired by this royal custom. In Crafting King's Falcon, the master distiller aims to capture the power and grace of the regal falcon. After traditional distillation and aging in American oak casks, the Scotch develops a rich texture and aroma with a smooth, crisp finish. The precious liquid is then transferred into first-fill bourbon casks where it develops pleasing vanilla notes. The result is, quite simply, a Scotch fit for a king.

King's Falcon Bourbon Cask Finish Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whiskey Tasting Notes

Nose: The nose is somewhat aggressive and easily rises to greet the consumer. The aromas are filled with fresh fruit and ample floral notes all layered over light oak and some faint sweetness leaning into notes of vanilla.

Palate: This is a very smooth and clean Scotch whiskyy, with a very light mouthfeel. The palate experience is fairly short, but includes a lightly sweet floral and fruit presence over some light oak mixed with some very light vanilla. Most of the experience is mid-mouth and forward to the front.

Finish: The finish is a medium to long experience.
