A rather splendid single malt from the Linkwood Distillery, matured for 24 years between 1997 and 2021. Those years were spent in a pair of hogsheads, which were then selected by the folks at indie bottler Signatory, who opened them up to release a total of 367 bottles for the Cask Strength Collection.

Nose: Juicy notes of melon and honeyed tropical fruits, underlying vegetal grist sits beside buttered popcorn and creamy vanilla fudge.
Palate: Caramel, buttered popcorn, and prickles of warming ginger cake give balance to delicate notes of floral honey, blossom, more orchard fruits, and drying herbs.
Finish: Oak spice, warming stone fruits, still floral with robust, biscuity warmth balancing chocolate sweetness.
