Distillery Information

Founded in 1826 in Wick, Caithness, Old Pulteney Distillery is often called “The Maritime Malt” due to its close ties to the sea. Its whiskies are shaped by the salty coastal air and unique still design that imparts a distinct oily texture. Over nearly two centuries, Old Pulteney has maintained traditional methods while releasing limited expressions that celebrate its maritime heritage. The Polaris 47 Year Old marks one of its oldest and most prestigious bottlings to date, symbolizing the distillery’s enduring legacy and the northern spirit of Scotland.
