Stagg Batch 25B 126.9 Proof Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey Tasting Notes

Nose: Bright vanilla cream, black cherry, brown sugar, and a hint of leather. 

Palate: Dense and layered with dark caramel, roasted pecan, cocoa nib, and cigar box oak.

Finish: Long, powerful and warming—ember-char oak, candied bacon, and lingering black pepper.

"The Stagg Distillery story is the history of today's Buffalo Trace Distillery, starting as the O.F.C. Distillery (Old Fire Copper) under E.H. Taylor Jr. in 1869, bought by George T. Stagg in 1878, renamed for him in 1904, survived Prohibition as a medicinal whiskey bottler, and was eventually bought by Sazerac and rebranded as Buffalo Trace in 1999, preserving Stagg's legacy in high-end bourbons like George T. Stagg."
