TB/BSW 6 Year Old (Thompson Bros.) | 700ML

A brilliant blended Scotch from indie bottler Thompson Bros., based over at the Dornoch Distillery. Comprised of a careful selection of single malts and grains aged for at least six years, the blend takes inspiration from old-school sherry forward expressions, so expect plenty of sticky fruit, toffee, and nutty spice here.

TB/BSW 6 Year Old (Thompson Bros.) | 700ML Tasting Notes

Nose: Dense layers of jammy stone fruit, honeyed sultanas, mocha, and almost savoury, tangy oaken spice.

Palate: The dried fruits continue with raisins, chocolate-dipped orange wheels, and soaked sultanas tangling with candied nuts and fig rolls.

Finish: Maple syrup, crystalised ginger, and warming sprinkles of powdered cinnamon, with lingering baked fruit and tea loaf.

Distillery Information

Thompson Bros at Dornoch Distillery was founded following a successful initial crowdfunding round in 2016 which saw 250 whisky lovers from all over the world eagerly put their hands in their pockets to secure hotly anticipated casks of new make spirit from Dornoch Distillery. A remarkably successful 2017 saw the team lay down casks of future single malt whisky and launch Thompson Brother’s Organic Highland Gin, available in 11 international markets. The success of Thompson Bros Organic Highland Gin and the need for more production, storage and distilling space led to the brothers launching the second round of crowdfunding in summer 2018 with the aim of expanding into a larger more versatile site.
