Behold - the seventh batch of Highland Park bottled by That Boutique-y Whisky Company! They've managed to get their hands on a stunning 26 year old single malt from the Orkney-based distillery, and bottled it up at 50.2% ABV. Charlemange isn't simply throwing his bloomers up in a tree in front of the Maltstock 2012 crew in celebration - he's doing it for good luck apparently (though this one is worth celebrating!). Batch 7 is a release of 598 bottles. ‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blended malts and blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.

Nose: Pear tart, heather honey and brandy butter, with fresh ginger and a touch of sea salt.

Palate: Hot chocolate, lemon peel and earthy peat, then developing hints of oak char and cigar box.

Finish: Lavender, mint leaf and a little baking spice and soft smoke.

Highland Park distillery is a Scotch whisky distillery based in Kirkwall, Orkney. It is the northernmost in Scotland, half a mile beyond the Scapa distillery.
