This is the 2021 edition, which has been triple distilled and drawn exclusively from first-fill bourbon barrels. The result is a full-flavoured single malt, packed full of character. A release of 6,000 bottles.
The Irishman 12 Year Old (2021 Release) Irish Whiskey | 700ML Tasting Notes
Nose: Honeycomb and toffee ice cream, with a sprinkling of diced almonds. A hint of toasted brioche, too.
Palate: Roasted nuts, spiced walnut loaf, a little bit of milky coffee, diced apricots and juicy peaches.
Finish: Lasting sweetness of caramel, with a crackle of cassia in the background.
