Producer Information

Parras Vinhos is a wine business in the Lisbon wine region of Portugal. The company grows grapes across 120 hectares oif vineyards. Both indigenous Portuguese and international varieties are cultivated. These are then processed either on site, across its three estates, or via partnerships if the plots are sited in regions far from their own production facilities. Parras Vinhos' three estates are Quinta do Gradil, Herdade da Candeeira and Tapada das Gaeiras. Quinta do Gradil is an old estate whose winemaking history can be traced back to 1760. Currently a single range of wine is produced here. The Herdade da Candeeira estate was added to the Parras portfolio in 2014 and has a range of valuable old vines from which four labels of wine are produced. The final estate, Tapada das Gaeiras, makes a single range of wines specializing in the little known Vital grape variety. The business was founded in 2010 by Luís Vieira who comes from a family of winemakers. The extensive range of wines are widely available on international markets.
