Part of Hunter Laing & Co.'s Platinum Old & Rare Selection, this single cask whisky was distilled at Auchentoshan distillery in the Lowlands in December 1984. Matured in a refill butt for 32 years before bottling in August 2017, only 124 bottles have been produced at a cask strength of 51% abv without chill filtration or artificial colouring.

Auchentoshan 32 Year Old Platinum Old & Rare Single Malt Scotch Whisky Tasting Notes

Nose: Mature aromas of over-ripe fruits, peaches and pears before marzipan and walnut emerge alongside brandy butter.

Palate: The palate is soft and sweet with a marshmallow-like texture, notes of coconut, honey and jaffa cakes coming through.

Finish: The finish shows off the mature oak with hot runny toffee aspects.

Distillery Information

Auchentoshan distillery was founded in 1800 and is one of the last remaining Lowland Single Malt Whisky distilleries. The distillery is nicknamed "Glasgow's Distillery"due to its proximity to the eponymous city, and its whisky is nicknamed "breakfast whisky" due to its sweet flavor and elegant texture.
