A special version of Laphroaig Cairdeas (pronounced "carchase"), the Ileach edition is named in reference to John Campbell, the whisky's creator. John is the first ever Islay-born Master Distiller at Laphroaig. He used Maker's Mark bourbon barrels in the creation of this, and bottled it at natural cask strength. This bottle does not come with the tube! This bottle was part of a private collection - if you'd like more detailed info and/or photos just get in touch!

Nose: Good level of sweetness on the nose. We get Gipsy Tart dressed with TCP (not a recommended dessert), some light fruit, perhaps a hint of stewed pear and vanilla. Hints of sooty smoke, and maybe even some lychee and menthol too, and just a soupcon of perfume.
Palate: A splendid taste with a warm feel to it. Not to smoky but silky smooth.
Finish: Clean,crisp and smooth.
