Detailed Description
At Lost Republic Distillery, Weese takes a winemakers’ approach to bourbon, focusing on the subtleties of flavor that are possible with quality ingredients and careful attention to detail. Lost Republic Bourbon is sourced carefully from distilleries in Indiana, Tennessee and California, with the resulting blend comprised of 75% corn, 21% rye and 4% barley. Once combined, the bourbon is aged three years and two months in 53-gallon, new American oak casks that have been exposed to a #2 char. Each batch, bottled at an exact 91 proof, consists of only two barrels, or about 600 bottles.

Nose: Aroma of Meyer lemon, allspice and bananas.
Palate: A hearty palate filled with biscuits and jam, honey and vanilla.
Finish: Finish is subtle and surprising, filled with cut hay, creme brulee and oak.
Distillery Information
Located in Healdsburg, CA, Lost Republic Distillery was started by two friends from Sonoma County. Perched at the top of the Headsburg Vinyards, they use locally sourced grains to create their artisanal, small batch whiskey. Lost Republic sources their base from MGP distillery out of Indiana, and further ages this spirit at a warehouse in Healdsburg, California (aka Napa).
