The expression is a perfect showcase of what Lucky Seven is all about ― in a package that has more oak and a higher proof than their younger entry-level The Jokester.
Lucky Seven 'The Hold Up' 12 Year Old Bourbon Whiskey Tasting Notes
Nose: subtle, yet rich profile with notes of dried plum, berries, stone fruit, as well as herbs and spices (namely thyme and dill).
Palate: Caramel and Oak flavors throughout.
Finish: Super-smooth with lingering spice and brown sugar flavors.
Distillery Information
Co-founders Michael Lahalih and John Pals have been best friends since their college years and share a common bond of bourbon and cinema. In fact, the Lucky 7 namesake is derived from the infamous Stage 7 on the Warner Brothers lot, where some of the greatest movies in cinema were filmed, such as Casablanca and My Fair Lady. The warehouse-sized stage produced so many award-winning films that the industry started calling it “Lucky Stage 7.” We are but Curators of Fine Spirits, carefully sourcing and then meticulously blending only the rarest bourbons.
