Cabernet Steeped Bourbon is Oak & Eden’s first small­-batch expression. It is start with bourbon whiskey, distilled from corn, rye and barley. It's age our whiskey for two years in new American charred oak barrels, which produces a rich, deep and sweet, yet slightly spicy spirit.

Oak & Eden | Bourbon & Vine Tasting Notes.

Nose: Luxardo cherries, dark red wine, seasoned oak.

Palate: Dark fruit, cherries, plums, raisins, seasoned oak, wet bark, buttery caramel; rich, velvety mouthfeel.

Finish: Dark fruit, seasoned wood, and wet bark linger; light rye spice comes into play as other flavors trail off; rich overall.

Distillery Information

Founded by Joe Giildenzopf, Jamie Giildenzopf and Brad Neathery, Oak & Eden is a product of Texas-based Sanctified Spirits Company. The innovative finishing process they use for their whiskeys involves putting a spiral of wood in their bottles of bourbon and rye. The tight five-inch spirals are crafted from American white oak, allowing a maximum surface area for the whiskey to interact with the wood.
