Royal Brackla 9 Year Old 2014 Single Malts Of Scotland Parcel #12 Single Malt Scotch Whisky | 700ML

A small batch of six barrels from Royal Brackla distillery has been used to create this Highland Single Malt, distilled in 2014 and aged for nine years. One of three distilleries with the honorary ‘Royal’ suffix, it was used to create the first blended whisky in the 1860s.

Nose: Floral with notes of honeysuckle, tarragon and rose petal water. Hints of sweet spice and custard creams.

Palate: Buttery with a lovely lemon oil twist. Notes of black pepper on fresh Scottish strawberries.

Finish: Elegant with buttermilk and a lick of spice.

Distillery Information

Captain William Fraser of Brackla House on the estate of Cawdor Castle originally founded the distillery in 1812. The distillery started distilling that same year. The distillery was the first to be granted a royal warrant by King William IV in 1835. Only few other distilleries have ever been given a royal warrant.
