Detailed Description
Distilled in May 1993 at Campbeltown's Springbank distillery, this single malt was matured in a refill hogshead for 24 years before bottling in October 2017. This 13th release in the series is limited to just 216 bottles, each one presented at a natural cask strength of 53.3% abv. Each bottle is presented in a brown leather box, embossed with gold metallic text, and are individually wax sealed. Thomas Hardy (1840-1928) was an English poet and novelist. Author of Far from the Madding Crowd and Tess of the d'Urbervilles among others, Hardy has been described as a Victorian realist and was placed twice in the BBC's The Big Read survey.

Nose: Complex with dried fruits, oranges, peaches, and a big vanilla influence with a gentle smoke.
Palate: Waxy with more dried fruits, toffee and sandalwood.
Finish: Long, drying and fruity.
Distillery Information
The Springbank distillery is a family-owned single malt whisky distillery on the Kintyre Peninsula in western Scotland. It is owned by J & A Mitchell & Company, who also owns the Glengyle Distillery, the oldest independent bottler, William Cadenheads, and several blended scotch labels.
