Nose: A gush of red fruit comes towards you, it looks very dense, light spice, chocolate, like jam, light acidity. Raisins, it already has a nice oak influence, a hint of furniture polish, a little caramel, overall a fairly sweet basic tone, grated orange peel, very nice
Palate: oily, full load of sherry on the start, much drier in the mouth, raisins, bittersweet, hazelnuts, light roasted aromas, oak, becoming more creamy, stimulates chewing, espresso, after the start a little sweetness comes through, chocolatey,
Finish: dry and sticky sherry, slightly dirty, nuts, sour, fruity, long-lasting and warming

The Springbank distillery is a family-owned single malt whisky distillery on the Kintyre Peninsula in western Scotland. It is owned by J & A Mitchell & Company, who also owns the Glengyle Distillery, the oldest independent bottler, William Cadenheads, and several blended scotch labels.
