This 2019 release in the Macallan's Edition series has been inspired by the natural colour spectrum of the Speyside single malt. Collaborating with the Pantone Color Institute, Edition No.5 was crafted from 100% American oak casks from three distinguished bodegas, selected primarily for their colour. Bottled at 48.5% abv, this limited edition is presented in packaging featuring the unique purple colour created by Pantone especially for this release.
The Macallan Edition No 5 Single Malt Scotch Whisky Tasting Notes
Nose: Vanilla and toffee with oak, pear, nutmeg, ginger and lemon basil notes.
Palate: Sweet caramel and fresh peach and pear notes, with toffee and light oak emerging.
Finish: Sweet with nutmeg and ginger lingering.

The Macallan distillery is a single malt Scotch whisky distillery in Craigellachie, Moray. The Macallan Distillers Ltd, is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Edrington Group which purchased the brand from Highland Distillers in 1999.
