Glengoyne Single Cask No. 1789 is a highly limited 2026 travel-retail release created to celebrate Glasgow Airport’s 60th anniversary. Matured for 12 years in a first-fill bourbon barrel, the whisky is bottled at natural cask strength without chill filtration or added colouring. Only 248 bottles were produced, showcasing Glengoyne’s characteristic unpeated, fruit-forward Highland style.

Nose: Chocolate chip oat cookies, malt, ripe banana, vanilla, and soft cereal sweetness.
Palate: Light and fruity, with malt, banana, vanilla, honeyed sweetness, and gentle oak.
Finish: Sweet and lingering, with honey-coated cereal, ripe fruits, citrus, and a subtle oak note.
Distillery Information
Glengoyne Distillery was established in 1833 and is located just north of Glasgow, making it the southernmost of Scotland’s Highland distilleries. The distillery is particularly known for its unpeated spirit and unusually slow distillation process, which helps preserve a naturally fruity and elegant character. Glengoyne operates under Ian Macleod Distillers, an independent Scottish family-owned spirits company. Its single-cask releases highlight individual barrels and different maturation influences while retaining the distinctive character of the Glengoyne spirit.
