Nose: Maritime salt, vanilla, citrus peel, honeyed malt, soft smoke, orchard fruit, and subtle oak.

Palate: Rich malt, salted caramel, baked apple, lemon zest, vanilla, gentle peat smoke, and warming spice.

Finish: Long and gently smoky, with coastal salinity, oak spice, citrus, malt sweetness, and a lingering peppery note.

Distillery Information

Glengyle Distillery is located in Campbeltown, one of Scotland's historic whisky-producing regions. The original distillery was established in 1872 but eventually closed in 1925. J. & A. Mitchell & Co., the family-owned company behind Springbank, acquired the site and restarted production in 2004, making Glengyle one of Scotland's newer operating distilleries despite its historic origins. Its whisky is released under the Kilkerran name, and the distillery has become known for traditional production methods and distinctive Campbeltown character.
