Stillman’s Sonder 10 Year Straight Bourbon is a carefully blended bourbon built from aged stocks distilled at MGP in Indiana and matured in both Andean and American oak. Several components undergo additional double-oaking to deepen texture and concentration. The bourbon is proofed gradually and given time for controlled oxidation before bottling, creating a rich, polished character. Sweet cream, milk chocolate and ripe strawberry meet vanilla, brown sugar, chai spice and pronounced mature oak.

Nose: Milk chocolate, ripe strawberry and chai tea with vanilla, sweet oak, wet stone and subtle autumnal wood notes.

Palate: Rich and concentrated, with brown sugar, sweet cream and vanilla bean followed by ripe strawberry, cardamom, caramel and layered oak.

Finish: Long and powerful, with robust mature oak, milk chocolate and dark berry notes alongside lingering spice and creamy sweetness.

Distillery Information

Stillman’s Sonder was created by the Maas family as a tribute to three generations of work in the American spirits industry. The whiskey's story began with exploratory single-malt distillation at MGP in Indiana between 2010 and 2016, producing barrels that were subsequently acquired and carefully aged by the family. Dancing Goat Distillery in Cambridge, Wisconsin later undertook an 18-month process of analysis, blending, re-barreling and finishing to transform these long-aged stocks into the Stillman’s Sonder releases. The brand is named for the patience and precision of the stillman, while “Sonder” reflects an awareness of the complex lives and stories behind every bottle. The American Single Malt represents the family's vision of combining traditional whiskey craftsmanship with creative American cask finishing.
