Dalmore 12 se envejece durante los primeros nueve años en barricas de bourbon ex de roble blanco americano, antes de que la mitad se transfiera a barricas de jerez ex oloroso durante los últimos tres años. El resultado es un whisky con una combinación de dulzura y ricos sabores a jerez.

Nariz: Aroma a naranjas caramelizadas, manzanas, ciruelas y mazapán.

Boca: Notas de cítricos, caramelo y canela con matices dulces de vainilla, café y pastel.

Final: Largo y dulce, con notas de albaricoques, cerezas y vainilla.

La destilería "The Dalmore" está ubicada en Alness, a 20 millas al norte de Inverness. Se asienta a orillas del Cromarty Firth con vistas a la Isla Negra, la "gran pradera", de la que toma su nombre.
