However, the classification never secured as much credibility as Bordeaux, and instead recognizes longevity over quality. Château Minuty's rosé wines are some of the best-selling rosés in the United States. The estate has 65 hectares (160 acres) of estate vineyards in Saint-Tropez and 15 hectares (37 acres) in nearby Ramatuelle on the slopes of Val de Rians. Farming practices follow many organic techniques such as not using pesticides or herbicides, although Minuty has no formal organic certification. Grenache is the most important variety here, although Cinsaut, Syrah and Mourvèdre also feature in blends and also appear as varietal wines. In 2009, construction was completed on a new tank room with temperature-controlled, stainless steel tanks and a total capacity of 400,000 liters.
