Cascahuin Anejo Tequila

Cascahuín Añejo is a 100% Blue Weber agave tequila from El Arenal in Jalisco’s Valles region, aged for 14–16 months in American oak barrels. The maturation develops layers of dried fruit, almond, peach, roasted peanut, vanilla, and natural oak while preserving the distinctive cooked-agave character of Cascahuín. Its balance of agave sweetness, wood spice, and gentle dryness makes it a classic, traditionally styled Añejo.

Cascahuin Anejo Tequila Tasting Notes

Nose: Cooked agave, raisins, almond, peach, roasted peanut, vanilla, and soft oak.

Palate: Mature cooked agave, caramel, dried fruit, toasted oak, gentle pepper, and subtle nutty sweetness.

Finish: Long and warming, with cooked agave, American oak, dried fruit, and a pleasant dry woodiness.

Distillery Information

Tequila Cascahuín traces its production traditions to 1904 and operates from its historic distillery in El Arenal, Jalisco. The house remains focused on traditional tequila-making methods, using mature Blue Weber agave from the Valles region, slow cooking in masonry ovens, fermentation, and double distillation. Cascahuín continues to produce its tequilas under NOM 1123, maintaining a strong connection to the region and the production philosophy established by founder Salvador Rosales Briseño.
