Finish: Long and elegant, with lingering oak, dried fruit, gentle sweetness, and mature grain character.

Distillery Information

Sato Distillery was founded in 1905 in Miyazaki Prefecture and forms the foundation of Sato Shiki’s grain-to-glass Japanese whisky production. The distillery uses locally sourced Japanese grains and water drawn from the Hourigawa River, naturally filtered through layers of granite. Its distinctive Sato Still was developed to provide precise temperature control and a slow vaporization process, helping create the brand’s characteristic fruit and floral complexity. Sato Shiki oversees production from distillation through maturation and bottling in Japan.
