Vagabond Spirits Harmony Chateau de Bonaguil Batch #2 Rum | 500ML

An experimental blend bringing together four distinct rums: a 4-year-old Mauritius rum aged in new American oak, a 6-year-old Savanna rum from Réunion matured in Cognac casks, a 7-year-old Belize rum aged in bourbon and Cognac casks, and an 8-year-old Jamaican blend matured in bourbon casks. The assembled blend was further matured inside the caves beneath Château de Bonaguil in 64L ex-rum acacia casks and 128L new French Gascon oak casks. The underground environment provides constant humidity and temperature for a slow, delicate maturation, with the finish running from June 2025 through May 2026. The release is limited to 400 bottles.

Nose: Warm and gourmand, with deep cacao, soft vanilla, honeyed sweetness and gentle Jamaican esters, accompanied by subtle oak and spice.

Palate: Rich and rounded, showing honey, vanilla, cacao and caramelized sweetness with French oak texture, light tannins and a refreshing menthol-like lift from the acacia wood.

Finish: Long and smooth, with fresh acacia, caramelized vanilla, soft cocoa and lingering woody sweetness.

Vagabond Spirits is an independent French rum bottler focused on exploration, unusual blends, and experimental maturation techniques. The Off Road series reflects this philosophy by taking rums from different island traditions and subjecting them to unconventional aging environments. For Off Road 3.2, the company combined Cape Verdean Grogue with Guadeloupe rum before sending the filled French-oak barrels beneath the Atlantic off Brittany, creating a distinctive expression shaped by both tropical cane traditions and maritime maturation.
