Tequila 5150 Añejo es la expresión añeja, pero en lugar de reposar en barricas de bourbon de roble americano, envejece durante 13 meses en barricas de vino tostado de Demptos Napa Cooperage. Este tequila fue galardonado con la Medalla de Oro del Agave Spirits Challenge 2008.

Tequila 5150 es un intento de tequila americano, o al menos tan americano como sea legalmente posible según el acuerdo legal sobre la producción de tequila, que generalmente sostiene que debe hacerse en México. Es producido por Frank Leal, donde se dice que cuando le reveló sus planes para un tequila americano a un amigo policía, le dijeron "¡Eres tan 5150!" (que es el código policial para una persona con trastornos mentales). (Del artículo de Josh Spears).
Notas de cata de Tequila 5150 Añejo
Nariz: Madera de roble media, vainilla y pasas con un ligero toque cítrico.
Boca: Suave y dulce. Madera de roble distintiva complementada con té negro, chocolate amargo y caramelo de miel.
Final: Caramelo y notas ahumadas.
