El whisky bourbon puro Kentucky de 7 años de Baker's lleva el nombre de Baker Beam, el sobrino nieto del legendario Jim Beam. El bourbon se elabora a partir de un puré dominado por maíz y se fermenta utilizando una cepa especial de levadura de jarra que pertenece a la familia Beam desde hace más de seis décadas.

Beam comenzó a cosechar maíz y estableció una tradición familiar al destilar el exceso de granos que cosechaba en whisky. Desde entonces, siete generaciones de la familia Beam han estado involucradas en la producción de whisky para la empresa del mismo nombre.
