The blend combines lightly smoked single malt matured in Arizona white oak previously used for Syrah with mesquite-influenced whiskey finished in casks that held local mesquite honey and imperial stout. The result balances rich malt and gentle smoke with bright fruit, floral notes, and lively oak tannins. Bottled at cask strength, it delivers a layered Southwestern character with both richness and freshness.

Nose: Sweet malt and gentle smoke lead, accompanied by ripe peach, citrus zest, and floral aromas. Subtle honey, toasted oak, and hints of red fruit add complexity.

Palate: Rich malt sweetness combines with honeyed fruit, peach, and citrus. Gentle mesquite smoke develops alongside toasted oak, bright tannins, and subtle roasted-malt notes, creating a balance between sweetness and earthy depth.

Finish: Long and warming, with lingering malt, gentle smoke, honey, and toasted oak. Bright fruit and a delicate tannic dryness provide a clean, structured close.

Whiskey Del Bac is an independent American single malt distillery based in Tucson, Arizona, founded by Stephen Paul in 2011. The distillery draws inspiration from the Sonoran Desert, particularly the regional tradition of cooking and smoking foods with mesquite wood. Its production centers on 100% malted barley, with mashing, fermentation, distillation, maturation, and bottling carried out at the distillery. Whiskey Del Bac explores both unsmoked and mesquite-smoked malt, combining traditional whisky-making techniques with regional ingredients and experimental cask maturation to express the character of the American Southwest.
