      Producer Information

Fort Miro stands on the high-quality limestone clay hillside in the village of Grézillac, only 15 kilometers away from the historic city of SAINT EMILION. In the middle of the 18th century, the descendants of the Bourbon dynasty, the first-generation owners of Chateau Miro, settled in Bordeaux and invited the famous architect Victor Louis to design and build the castle for them in the village of Grézillac. In 1763, the neoclassical architect Victor Louis (Victor Louis) designed and built it when he was 42 years old. Victor Louis was a very famous French royal architect in the late 18th and early 19th centuries. He designed and built many famous estates in Bordeaux, such as Château Margaux and Château du Bouilh. . Of course, the most representative building is the Royal Grand Theater (Grand Théâtre de Bordeaux) in Bordeaux, which was designed and completed in 1780. At that time, it also won the "Rome Prize" for its design of the Grand Theater. Victor-Louis' famous works also include the Royal Palace and the French Theater in Paris. Fort Miro was owned by Mr. Large's family after several changes of hands after World War II. Yet in 2013, nearly half a century later, Mr Large's family sold the 44-hectare family estate to Mr Edwin Cheung of Hong Kong. Mr. Zhang has been collecting precious red wine since the 1980s. Now he owns more than 10,000 rare wines from top wineries. He became a member of the Bordeaux Wine Association (COMMANDERIE DE BORDEAUX) in 1995. And tasting has a deep understanding. By chance, he drank the wine of Fort Miro, and when he learned that the former owner was planning to sell it because he had no children, Mr. Zhang immediately conducted a professional soil analysis and invited professional wine tasting. The division made a more professional and in-depth analysis of the wine, and the analysis results made the team and Mr. Zhang very satisfied. After that, they quickly acquired the estate and even invited Mr. Stéphane Apelbaum, who is well-known in Bordeaux, to be the general manager of the winery. Manager and winemaker.
