Corazón Weller C.Y.P.B. Expresiones Añejo is a 100% Blue Weber agave tequila from the highlands of Jalisco, matured in barrels that previously held Weller C.Y.P.B. Kentucky Straight Bourbon. The bourbon-barrel influence adds layers of caramel, vanilla, toasted oak, almond, chocolate, and gentle baking spice to the cooked-agave foundation. The result is a rich, silky expression that brings together traditional highland tequila character with the distinctive sweetness of wheated bourbon barrels.

Corazon Weller C.Y.P.B. Expresiones Anejo Tequila Tasting Notes

Nose: Cooked agave, caramel, toasted oak, almond, vanilla, chocolate, honey, and soft eucalyptus.

Palate: Rich cooked agave, butterscotch, vanilla bean, caramel, toasted oak, almond, chocolate, and gentle baking spice.

Finish: Long and warming, with lingering agave, oak, vanilla, caramel, spice, and a soft bourbon-influenced sweetness.

Distillery Information

Corazón Tequila is produced at Casa San Matías Distillery in Los Altos de Jalisco, using 100% Blue Weber agave grown in the highlands. Casa San Matías combines traditional tequila-making techniques with a strong focus on experimentation and barrel maturation. The Expresiones del Corazón collection was developed to explore the interaction between premium tequila and distinctive American whiskey barrels, including barrels associated with Buffalo Trace and Weller. Each expression is monitored during maturation to achieve a specific balance between the agave spirit and the character of its former bourbon cask.
