No, tus ojos no te engañan, este es un whisky de malta de Kentucky, el corazón del bourbon. Está elaborado con un 63% de cebada malteada y el resto compuesto de maíz y centeno, y se envejece en barricas de roble americano carbonizadas antes de embotellarse con un fuerte contenido de alcohol del 55,7%. Si te encanta el whisky escocés de pura malta pero quieres sumergirte en el whisky americano, este es un excelente lugar para comenzar.

Nariz: Gran nariz dulce con chocolate, toffe, tabaco y una nota mentolada.

Paladar: Más chocolate en boca con nueces, canela, regaliz y menta.

Finalizar: Dulce con capas de chocolate con leche y caramelo.

Paul y Merry Beth Tomaszewski fundaron MB Roland Distillery Pembroke, Christian Co. Kentucky en 2009 después de que una lechería Amish saliera a la venta. Con el deseo de crear una verdadera destilería "del grano al vaso", el dúo solo utiliza maíz blanco local para hacer whisky de maíz puro, alcohol ilegal y un buen bourbon.
