Johnnie Walker King George V está elaborado a mano exclusivamente a partir de whiskies raros que se produjeron en destilerías que operaron durante el reinado del Rey Jorge V. Como resultado, la mezcla incluye whiskies como Port Ellen (la destilería Port Ellen cerró en 1983) y tiene más moderación. y sofisticación en comparación con el tradicional Johnnie Walker Blue Label. King George V tiene un aroma ligeramente ahumado seguido de notas de fruta fresca, malta, pasas, higos y canela. Notas profundas de rico chocolate, sándalo, humo y cítricos dominan el paladar y conducen a un final persistente y reconfortante con un toque de jarabe de arce.

Información de la destilería

En 1857, Alexander Walker, el hijo mayor de Johnnie Walker, heredó la tienda y comenzó a mejorar su selección de whiskies escoceses de pura malta. Además, Alexander había sido aprendiz de un comerciante de té en Glasgow y allí había aprendido el arte de mezclar té. Bajo su dirección, la Casa Walker comenzó a mezclar whisky y a embotellarlo en una icónica botella cuadrada adornada con una etiqueta inclinada.
