The wine estate is dedicated to making premium Pinot Noir although it also produces a wider range of wines including Chardonnay and Viognier. The estate was founded by the Gerrie family in 1992 and today consists of five vineyards in the Eola-Amity Hills AVA as well as sourcing some fruit from nearby growers. Cristom's vineyards are called Eileen, Jessie, Louise, Marjorie and Paul, after owner Paul Gerrie and the Gerrie family matriarchs. The grapes at each vineyard are picked, vinified, and bottled separately to showcase each vineyard's nuances, including specific clone selections, rootstocks, and diverse soil types.
