Nariz: Chocolate al principio, con piel de cítricos, almendras tostadas y cardamomo.

Paladar: El pastel de frutas denso lleva azúcar demerara y hierbas secas.

Finalizar: Persiste con notas de pasas y jengibre.

Información de la destilería

La destilería Inchgower fue fundada como "La Gran Destilería de Inchgower" en 1871 por Alexander Wilson and Co. Se pretendía que Inchgower utilizara los edificios y equipos de la antigua Destilería Tochieneal. La destilería Inchgower se encuentra en Banffshire, no lejos de la desembocadura del río Spey y justo en las afueras del pueblo pesquero de Buckie. La destilería fue comprada por el Ayuntamiento de Buckie en 1936, tras la quiebra de Alexander Wilson and Co. Dos años más tarde, Arthur Bell and Sons adquirió la destilería por 3.000 libras esterlinas. Durante la década de 1960, Arthur Bell and Sons renovó la destilería e instaló dos alambiques más, duplicando la capacidad total a poco menos de dos millones de litros al año. También incluyeron whisky escocés Inchgower como componente de la popular mezcla Bells; la gran mayoría del whisky producido en la destilería, hasta el 99%, se utiliza como componente de mezcla. En 1985, Guinness adquirió la destilería y, tras la fusión con Grand Metropolitan, Inchgower está actualmente bajo la atenta mirada de Diageo. A pesar de ser una destilería de escala relativamente pequeña, Inchgower cuenta con trece almacenes con capacidad para hasta 60.000 barricas. Ha habido muy pocos lanzamientos oficiales, aunque hay embotellados independientes disponibles.
