Westerhall 27 Year Old 1996 Cask #3 - Bedford Park Rum | 700ML

This tremendous old rum from Grenada's long-lost Westerhall distillery is brought to us as part of the independent Bedford Park collection. Distilled in 1996, the rum was aged at origin for 11 years in American oak before being transferred into refill oak for an additional year and then transported to Europe, where it matured for an additional 15 years. A release of 233 cask strength bottles.

Nose: Rich molasses, dried tropical fruit, caramel, vanilla, toasted oak, and warm baking spices. Hints of banana, raisin, and earthy cane character develop underneath.

Palate: Deep and full-bodied, with dark caramel, stewed tropical fruit, molasses, vanilla, toasted oak, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Mature wood adds depth while retaining a rich Grenadian character.

Finish: Long and warming, with lingering molasses, dried fruit, caramel, oak spice, vanilla, and subtle earthy notes.
