Karibia-Rhum ELIKO Avenir Batch #3 5 Year Old Rum | 500ML

A 5-year-old Guadeloupe agricultural rum made from 100% red R579 cane and distilled in a traditional Creole column still. The rum was aged separately in four new French oak casks from the forests of Tronçais, Russy, Darney, and Cîteaux before being blended and finished in Tronçais oak. Bottled at cask strength without filtration, this limited Batch #3 release was produced in only 285 numbered bottles.

Nose: Mandarin, lemon zest, honey, delicate pastry, and elegant fresh oak.

Palate: Full and silky, with vanilla, warm spices, candied fruit, pineapple, creamy notes, and lightly toasted oak.

Finish: Long and refined, with nutmeg, warm spice, toasted wood, and lingering earthy and subtly smoky notes.

Distillery Information

Distillerie Espérance, also known as Longueteau, is located at the Domaine du Marquisat de Sainte-Marie in Capesterre-Belle-Eau and is described as the oldest continuously operating family distillery in Guadeloupe. For ELIKO Avenir, Karibia-Rhum worked with the distillery to explore the influence of different French oak forests on agricultural rum. The four cask origins contribute distinct characteristics before the final Tronçais finish brings the blend together. Karibia-Rhum presents the release as the third chapter of its ELIKO trilogy, following the Bielle Origine and Montebello Contemporain expressions.
