A highly collectible 17-year-old Eagle Rare from the 2006 Buffalo Trace Antique Collection, distilled in spring 1988 and matured in Warehouse Q before being bottled that fall. This vintage showcases the rich and mature character of classic Eagle Rare, with layers of caramel, vanilla and dried fruit balanced by substantial oak. Bottled at the traditional 90 proof, it is an important early expression from the formative years of the Antique Collection.

Nose: Mature oak, caramel and vanilla with dried fruit, maple, soft leather and gentle baking spice.

Palate: Rich and balanced, with caramel, vanilla and maple layered with dried fruit, toasted oak and subtle tobacco. A gentle sweetness gives way to a more mature, slightly dry oak character.

Finish: Long and elegant, with lingering vanilla, caramel, dried fruit and seasoned oak, followed by a gentle touch of spice.
