On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, pure and very, very suave on the attack, with sappy core of fruit, ripe tannins, excellent focus and balance and a very long, tangy and youthful finish. The inherent elegance of the 2008 vintage may well result in the finest vintage of Clos de la Maréchale yet produced by Monsieur Mugnier.
